Nintendo Switch Pro/ Nintendo 4K: Details and Expectations

 


The Nintendo Switch was launched four years ago in 2017. This remains an incredibly hot selling gaming item. However, the PS5 and XBOX are still on the market with next-gen features. In 2019, a new version was also launched. It was a less expensive version of the switch.

This new version looks like a feature-packed upgrade to the current switch. The Nintendo Switch might get an upgrade later this year with a 7-inch OLED or 4K display.

Improvements

Nintendo Switch has had all kinds of improvements over a couple of years. The release of the new switch from Nintendo happens every couple of years. The original switch came out in 2017, Switch light came out in 2019. Now, it seems like the time to launch a new Switch. The 2021 version might come up with the name of Nintendo Switch Pro. As a result, it might be an extra price device that includes a lot of improvements.

Display

The existing Nintendo Switch has a 6.2-inch display. The current display looks fine for playing games. Nintendo games are not really super high res. As a result, it will be perfectly fine in 720p. The new Nintendo Switch might get a 7-inch Samsung OLED display. It will still be 720p. It might have the ability to play 4K games. You will get a more vivid OLED display. You will also get brighter colors or black levels.

Seven inches screen size is not too much larger. The current Nintendo Switch display feels tiny. However, it is bigger than a smartphone. You will not feel any issue with the upgraded screen size.

4K Gaming

The new Nintendo Switch might come with a new dock that allows 4K gaming on TV. You will see the generation of games with graphics boosts. However, it will require a new Nintendo Switch processor.

Battery

Nintendo Switch has already done an update to its battery life a couple of years ago. This action boosted the battery into a 5 to 9-hour range. The new Nintendo Switch will hopefully get better battery life. People will love the larger screen time.

Joystick Controllers

The joystick controllers are a little creaky. There are a lot of reports of Joystick drifts. The current Nintendo Switch has an issue of breaking down buttons. It does not feel as precise as high-end gaming console controllers. There are a lot of lacking things in the current Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo can improve the haptics and the vibration. It will provide more realistic feedback. This is the same thing Sony did with dual sensors on the PS5.

Other Upgrades

If the new Nintendo Switch comes with haptic feedback improvements and 4K support, it will be great too. It might be a better replacement for the previous model. There is a lot of bezel space in the current Nintendo Switch. It might shrink down in the new model. It will offer a larger screen on a new Switch.

The upgrade might make the Nintendo Switch more compact and easier to carry around. Switch lite is a lot quiet when it runs.
